You Don’t Owe Anyone the Rest of the Game

Caitlin Clark’s getting shoved around like it’s part of the job.

It’s not.

I’ve walked off a pickleball court after getting balls targeted at my head. Some people call it being dramatic. I call it knowing when the game stops being a game. 

You never have to “tough it out” for people who confuse aggression with competition.

If it doesn’t feel right, walk off. No explanation needed.

You don’t owe anyone the rest of the game. If it stops being safe or fun, leave.

Never feel bad for protecting yourself. Never let someone else’s ego keep you in harm’s way.

You’re not soft. You’re smart.

Your safety comes first. Always.
